About this package

In the rainy season, fevers in Mumbai often come with a short list of suspects that look alike in the first days. This panel tests for all of them at once: dengue NS1, malaria antigen, typhoid, and two infections that many routine panels leave out, leptospirosis, spread through water contaminated by animal urine, and scrub typhus, spread by mites. Leptospira is tested for both IgM and IgG. The blood count and CRP help your doctor gauge severity, since platelet counts and inflammation guide whether a person can recover at home. Early, accurate identification matters because leptospirosis and scrub typhus respond well to specific antibiotics and are dangerous when missed.

A monsoon-ready tropical fever panel: dengue, malaria, typhoid, leptospirosis, scrub typhus, CRP and blood count.

What does this package cover?

The 8 tests are grouped into 2 health areas:

Blood count & inflammation 2 tests

  • C - Reactive Protein (CRP)

C - Reactive Protein (CRP) is a blood test. C - Reactive Protein (CRP) is a diagnostic laboratory test carried out on a blood sample. Your doctor may advise it to screen for, diagnose or monitor a related condition, with results reported against standard reference ranges.

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)

  • Dengue NS1 Antigen

Dengue NS1 Antigen is a blood test. Early dengue detection - positive from day 1 of fever.

Purpose

Health screening

People with fever after wading through floodwater, with body ache and red eyes, or with fever and a rash or black scab, and anyone whose fever does not settle in three days.

How often should you get it done?

Only during an illness. A repeat after a few days may be advised if the first set is negative and fever continues.

Not everyone needs every test. Whether this package suits you depends on your age, symptoms, family history and any ongoing treatment - your doctor can advise.

What can you learn from this package?

The package can provide information about:

  • Blood count & inflammation - C - Reactive Protein (CRP) and Complete Blood Count (CBC)
  • Infections - Dengue NS1 Antigen, Leptospira IgG Rapid, Leptospira IgM Rapid, Malaria Antigen Test, Scrub typhus IgM and Widal Test (Typhoid)

A package gives individual results for each test - it does not diagnose disease by itself.

Understanding your package report

Your report lists the result of each test separately, with its own unit and reference range. Values outside the range are highlighted.

There is no single overall "health score" - each result is read on its own and then together with the others. One out-of-range value is not a diagnosis, and a normal report does not guarantee you are completely healthy.

Share the report with your doctor, who will interpret it with your symptoms and history. Call us if you need help reading it.

Frequently asked questions

Why test for leptospirosis after floods?

Leptospira bacteria spread through water contaminated by rat and animal urine, and enter through cuts or the eyes. The fever with muscle pain and red eyes needs prompt antibiotics.

When do antibody tests turn positive?

IgM antibodies often take five to seven days to appear, so a negative result in the first days does not exclude infection. Your doctor may advise a repeat test.

Do I need to fast?

No fasting is needed, and the sample can be taken at any time of day.
