About this package

In diabetes, kidney damage is silent until late, so detecting it early matters most. This panel combines creatinine-based kidney function with cystatin C, a different marker of filtration that is not affected by muscle mass, so the two give a more reliable estimate of true kidney function. Microalbumin and urine routine catch the early protein leak. HbA1c shows whether sugar control is protecting the kidneys, and the blood count checks for anaemia, which can accompany declining kidney function. It does not require fasting.

An advanced diabetic kidney check with cystatin C, kidney function, HbA1c, microalbumin and urine routine.

What does this package cover?

The 6 tests are grouped into 5 health areas:

Blood count & inflammation 1 test

Red cells, white cells and platelets, blood group, and general inflammation markers.

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)

RBC count, haemoglobin, haematocrit, WBC count with differential (neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, basophils), platelet count, and red-cell indices (MCV, MCH, MCHC).

Diabetes & blood sugar 1 test

Current and 3-month average blood sugar, plus insulin markers for diabetes and insulin resistance.

  • HbA1c (Glycated Haemoglobin)

The percentage of haemoglobin in red blood cells that has glucose attached to it (glycated) - since red cells live about 120 days, this reflects average blood sugar over that period.

Kidney & electrolytes 2 tests

How well your kidneys filter waste, plus the salts (electrolytes) they keep in balance.

  • Kidney Function Test

Blood urea/BUN, serum creatinine, eGFR (estimated glomerular filtration rate), uric acid, sodium, potassium, chloride, and calcium.

  • Microalbumin

The concentration of albumin in a urine sample, often expressed as a ratio to urine creatinine (ACR) to account for urine concentration.

Urine 1 test

Routine urine analysis for infection, sugar, protein and kidney clues.

  • Urine Routine & Microscopic Examination

Physical characteristics (colour, clarity), chemical markers (protein, glucose, ketones, blood, pH), and microscopic examination for cells, crystals, casts and bacteria in a urine sample.

Other tests 1 test

Additional tests included in this package.

  • Cystatin - C

The concentration of Cystatin C in the blood, used to estimate kidney filtration rate (eGFR).

6 tests included (63 parameters)

Why consider this package?

  • 6 laboratory investigations in one booking
  • Looks at 5 health areas together, not in isolation
  • All samples collected in a single home visit
  • Costs ₹895 less than booking the tests separately
  • Useful for preventive screening, or when your doctor wants these tests together
  • Pathologist-reviewed reports shared online

Who is this package for?

Designed for

Men & women

Age group

All ages

Purpose

Health screening

People with diabetes for five years or more, those with high blood pressure, swelling of the feet or foamy urine, and people with a family history of kidney disease.

How often should you get it done?

Every year, or every six months if kidney changes have already been found.

Not everyone needs every test. Whether this package suits you depends on your age, symptoms, family history and any ongoing treatment - your doctor can advise.

What can you learn from this package?

The package can provide information about:

  • Blood count & inflammation - Complete Blood Count (CBC)
  • Diabetes & blood sugar - HbA1c (Glycated Haemoglobin)
  • Kidney & electrolytes - Kidney Function Test and Microalbumin
  • Urine - Urine Routine & Microscopic Examination
  • Other tests - Cystatin - C

A package gives individual results for each test - it does not diagnose disease by itself.

How to prepare

  • No fasting is required for this package.
  • Drink water as usual, and avoid alcohol and strenuous exercise for 24 hours before.
  • Take your regular medicines unless your doctor advises otherwise, and tell the phlebotomist what you take.
  • For the urine test, a first-morning, mid-stream sample in the sterile container we provide is best.
  • Wear a loose-sleeved top so the blood sample can be collected easily.

Understanding your package report

Your report lists the result of each test separately, with its own unit and reference range. Values outside the range are highlighted.

There is no single overall "health score" - each result is read on its own and then together with the others. One out-of-range value is not a diagnosis, and a normal report does not guarantee you are completely healthy.

Share the report with your doctor, who will interpret it with your symptoms and history. Call us if you need help reading it.

Frequently asked questions

What is cystatin C?

A protein made by all cells and cleared by the kidneys. It gives a second estimate of kidney filtration that is less affected by muscle mass, diet or supplements than creatinine.

Does the test need fasting?

No. You can eat and drink normally, and collect a first-morning urine sample if you can.

What can I do to protect my kidneys?

Keep sugar and blood pressure in target, avoid unnecessary painkillers, stay hydrated and ask your doctor about medicines that protect the kidneys.
