About this package

This profile answers one question well: is the marrow short of something, or is it simply working flat out? Iron studies and ferritin describe iron in circulation and in store, vitamin B12 covers the other big nutritional cause, and the reticulocyte count shows how many fresh red cells the marrow is releasing. Because it leaves out inflammation markers and smear examination, it is best for people whose story already points to a nutritional cause, such as a vegetarian diet or heavy periods. Normal results would shift your doctor's attention to other causes, such as chronic illness or inherited conditions.

A focused anaemia profile built around red-cell production: iron studies, ferritin, B12, reticulocytes and the blood count.

What does this package cover?

The 6 tests are grouped into 3 health areas:

Blood count & inflammation 1 test

Red cells, white cells and platelets, blood group, and general inflammation markers.

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)

RBC count, haemoglobin, haematocrit, WBC count with differential (neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, basophils), platelet count, and red-cell indices (MCV, MCH, MCHC).

Iron & anaemia 3 tests

Iron stores and red-cell production - the commonest causes of anaemia and tiredness.

  • Ferritin

Ferritin is a blood test. Ferritin checks a vitamin or nutrient level so any deficiency can be identified and treated by your doctor.

  • Iron Studies (Iron,TIBC, Transferrin saturation)

Iron Studies (Iron,TIBC, Transferrin saturation) is a blood test. Iron Studies (Iron,TIBC, Transferrin saturation) is used in the work-up of anaemia to understand blood-cell production and iron status.

  • Reticulocyte Count

The percentage or absolute count of reticulocytes - red blood cells that are less than a few days old.

Vitamins, bone & minerals 2 tests

Vitamin D, B12, folate and the minerals and hormones that keep bones and nerves healthy.

  • Folic acid

The concentration of folate in the blood.

  • Vitamin B12

    Serum vitamin B12 (cobalamin) concentration.

6 tests included (34 parameters)

Why consider this package?

  • 6 laboratory investigations in one booking
  • Looks at 3 health areas together, not in isolation
  • All samples collected in a single home visit
  • Costs ₹645 less than booking the tests separately
  • Useful for preventive screening, or when your doctor wants these tests together
  • Pathologist-reviewed reports shared online

Who is this package for?

Designed for

Men & women

Age group

All ages

Purpose

Health screening

People with pallor, fatigue or breathlessness and a likely nutritional cause, women with heavy periods, and anyone whose haemoglobin has been low on routine tests.

How often should you get it done?

Once to define the cause. Haemoglobin and ferritin are repeated after two to three months of treatment.

Not everyone needs every test. Whether this package suits you depends on your age, symptoms, family history and any ongoing treatment - your doctor can advise.

What can you learn from this package?

The package can provide information about:

  • Blood count & inflammation - Complete Blood Count (CBC)
  • Iron & anaemia - Ferritin, Iron Studies (Iron,TIBC, Transferrin saturation) and Reticulocyte Count
  • Vitamins, bone & minerals - Folic acid and Vitamin B12

A package gives individual results for each test - it does not diagnose disease by itself.

How to prepare

Understanding your package report

Your report lists the result of each test separately, with its own unit and reference range. Values outside the range are highlighted.

There is no single overall "health score" - each result is read on its own and then together with the others. One out-of-range value is not a diagnosis, and a normal report does not guarantee you are completely healthy.

Share the report with your doctor, who will interpret it with your symptoms and history. Call us if you need help reading it.

Frequently asked questions

What do the reticulocytes tell me that the blood count does not?

The blood count shows how many red cells you have now. The reticulocyte count shows how fast new ones are being made, which separates a marrow that is under-supplied from one that is replacing lost blood.

Is a fast required?

No, this panel can be taken without fasting. If you take iron or B12 tablets, avoid them that morning so the report shows your baseline.

How long until ferritin recovers?

Haemoglobin may improve within weeks, but ferritin often takes three to six months of steady treatment to rebuild, which is why doctors keep going after haemoglobin looks normal.
