About this package

Sudden, severe pain in the big toe or a swollen, hot joint is the classic story of gout, caused by uric acid crystals. This panel measures serum uric acid, and creatinine to see how well the kidneys are clearing it, along with calcium and phosphorus and the inflammation marker CRP. The blood count and vitamin B12 round out the picture for those whose joint complaints also include fatigue or tingling. A uric acid level taken during an acute attack can look normal, so doctors often repeat it a few weeks later when the joint has settled.

A gout and joint-pain screen that pairs uric acid with kidney function, minerals, inflammation and B12.

What does this package cover?

The 7 tests are grouped into 3 health areas:

Blood count & inflammation 2 tests

Red cells, white cells and platelets, blood group, and general inflammation markers.

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)

RBC count, haemoglobin, haematocrit, WBC count with differential (neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, basophils), platelet count, and red-cell indices (MCV, MCH, MCHC).

  • CRP (C-Reactive Protein)

The level of C-reactive protein circulating in the blood, which rises within hours of an inflammatory trigger.

Kidney & electrolytes 2 tests

How well your kidneys filter waste, plus the salts (electrolytes) they keep in balance.

  • Serum Creatinine

The concentration of creatinine in the blood, which rises as kidney filtration declines.

  • Serum Uric Acid

Serum Uric Acid is a blood test. Screens for gout and monitors uric acid in kidney and metabolic conditions.

Vitamins, bone & minerals 3 tests

Vitamin D, B12, folate and the minerals and hormones that keep bones and nerves healthy.

  • Calcium

Calcium is a blood test. Calcium is a diagnostic laboratory test carried out on a blood sample. Your doctor may advise it to screen for, diagnose or monitor a related condition, with results reported against standard reference ranges.

  • Phosphorus

Phosphorus is a blood test. Phosphorus is a diagnostic laboratory test carried out on a blood sample. Your doctor may advise it to screen for, diagnose or monitor a related condition, with results reported against standard reference ranges.

  • Vitamin B12

    Serum vitamin B12 (cobalamin) concentration.

7 tests included (32 parameters)

Why consider this package?

  • 7 laboratory investigations in one booking
  • Looks at 3 health areas together, not in isolation
  • All samples collected in a single home visit
  • Costs ₹444 less than booking the tests separately
  • Useful for preventive screening, or when your doctor wants these tests together
  • Pathologist-reviewed reports shared online

Who is this package for?

Designed for

Men & women

Age group

All ages

Purpose

Health screening

People with sudden painful, swollen joints, recurrent toe or ankle pain, kidney stones, or a family history of gout.

How often should you get it done?

Once for diagnosis, then every few months if you are treating high uric acid, to confirm that it stays in range.

Not everyone needs every test. Whether this package suits you depends on your age, symptoms, family history and any ongoing treatment - your doctor can advise.

What can you learn from this package?

The package can provide information about:

  • Blood count & inflammation - Complete Blood Count (CBC) and CRP (C-Reactive Protein)
  • Kidney & electrolytes - Serum Creatinine and Serum Uric Acid
  • Vitamins, bone & minerals - Calcium, Phosphorus and Vitamin B12

A package gives individual results for each test - it does not diagnose disease by itself.

How to prepare

  • Fast for 8 to 10 hours before the sample - plain water is allowed. An early-morning slot makes this easier.
  • Drink water as usual, and avoid alcohol and strenuous exercise for 24 hours before.
  • Take your regular medicines unless your doctor advises otherwise, and tell the phlebotomist what you take.
  • Wear a loose-sleeved top so the blood sample can be collected easily.

Understanding your package report

Your report lists the result of each test separately, with its own unit and reference range. Values outside the range are highlighted.

There is no single overall "health score" - each result is read on its own and then together with the others. One out-of-range value is not a diagnosis, and a normal report does not guarantee you are completely healthy.

Share the report with your doctor, who will interpret it with your symptoms and history. Call us if you need help reading it.

Frequently asked questions

Why can uric acid be normal during a gout attack?

Levels often dip during an acute flare, so a normal reading does not exclude gout. Your doctor may repeat the test after the pain settles.

What triggers high uric acid?

Diet rich in red meat and organ meats, alcohol (especially beer), sugary drinks, dehydration, obesity and some medicines. Reduced kidney clearance also plays a part.

Do I need to fast?

A fast of eight to ten hours is advised, with water allowed. Avoid alcohol for a day beforehand, as it affects uric acid.
